About the workshop

Is your little one starting Grade 1 in 2025?

Are you feeling a bit overwhelmed and wondering if they’re truly ready for this exciting new chapter? We’ve got you covered!

Join Our School Readiness Workshop

Hosted by Karin Visser, founder and co-owner of Biolink Brain Training, and her sister Marlize, this workshop is designed to help parents prepare their children for the transition from Grade R to Grade 1.

We focus on essential cognitive and executive function skills that lay the foundation for academic success and a smooth transition into school life.

What You’ll Learn:

  • How your child learns cognitive skills and executive functions.
  • Assessing your child’s specific skillset.
  • Practical tips for planning and reinforcing learning at home.
  • The importance of play with purpose and how to integrate it into daily routines.
  • How to create solid routines and help your child take responsibility.

Why It Matters:

Grade 1 is a big step! Your child will be expected to sit still, listen, pay attention, and begin tasks like reading, problem-solving, and remembering information.

These skills don’t just happen overnight – they need to be developed and reinforced through active learning and purposeful play. This workshop will guide you on how to prepare your child and support their success in the classroom.

Who Should Attend:

Parents of children currently in Grade R who want to ensure their child is fully prepared for the challenges and excitement of Grade 1.
