Gina du Plessis
"Helping children to believe in themselves is my passion!" Gina du Plessis is the proud owner of Gee'z Learning Hub, a place where children come to build their confidence and to develop their reading and maths skills. She has a master’s degree in Psychology and during her 25 years’ experience she has come to realise that children face many educational challenges which not only breaks their confidence, but also hinders their progress. She believes that Biolink will be the key to addressing and assisting learners with many of these challenges. Gina’s experience with children struggling to focus, work independently, and complete tasks gives her a deep understanding of ADHD and its challenges. Her personal journey, which includes the late diagnosis of her own child and recognition of ADHD symptoms in herself, adds a compassionate and informed perspective to her approach. She is aware that many parents have concerns about medication and this highlights her commitment to exploring alternative solutions like Biolink. Biolink’s program develops skills that can be applied to daily life, and through this, Gina aims to provide valuable, lifelong tools for managing ADHD effectively. Gina is a dedicated and passionate educator with a clear vision for helping children grow and succeed. For her, the most important aspect is that learners grow in confidence and walk out of each session believing that they CAN! Gina’s commitment to treating each learner with dignity, love, and kindness reflects a deep understanding of the importance of respect and empathy in teaching. Every child is accepted for who they are, and this not only fosters a supportive and inclusive environment but also encourages each student to thrive and reach their full potential. Her philosophy creates a positive and nurturing space where all students feel valued and empowered to learn and grow.

Suzanne van Zyl
Suzanne van Zyl is the owner of Biolink Attention Training Bellville and also a catalyst in the process of children reaching their true potential. She is passionate about children and understands each child’s uniqueness. Suzanne obtained her Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from the North-West University (NWU) in 2010, majoring in Psychology and Physiology. She attained her Honours Bachelor of Arts (BA Hons) in Psychology in 2012 from the University of South Africa (UNISA). Thereafter Suzanne decided to pursue a degree in Bachelor of Arts (Hons) (Psych) in Practical Psychometry at the University of Johannesburg which she completed in 2013. Suzanne is registered as an Independent Psychometrist at the HPCSA and is also a trained Reading Therapist. During her internship at the Centre for Psychological Services and Career Development (PsyCaD) at the University of Johannesburg she was exposed to various psychometric assessments and gained more experience while working with children of all walks of life. This is where her passion grew stronger and she realised that she wanted to steer her career in this direction. After her studies she worked in the corporate sector and for months she kept a little post-it note on her desk with the words “Let your passion be your pilot”. In 2015 she decided to open the doors of Biolink Brain Training Bellville where her passion, experience, and purpose are being brought to reality. At Biolink Brain Training, we offer support, hope, answers, and solutions for children and adults with ADHD and other learning disorders or academic challenges. We also provide resources and training toward the continuous professional development of teachers, as required by the South African Council of Educators. Study after study confirms children today are struggling more than ever before with academic, social, and behavioural issues that impact their success in school. We want to take hands with parents and teachers to ensure our children get the best support and assistance when having academic or learning challenges. We strongly believe that the role parents play in the school system should be clearly defined, and teachers should be the inspirational leaders of a diverse world. The only way we can do that, is by empowering parents and teachers. We want to generate new knowledge through a broad array of workshops, research materials, and supportive information, and use the content for classroom strategies.

I have been a teacher for almost 30 years now and it remains my greatest passion to be part of laying the building blocks for a child's future. Our children need to be nurtured - not only their bodies and their minds, but far and beyond all else, we need to nurture and guide the development of their brains. We need to provide them with opportunities to reason, to think, to strategise, to make mistakes, take responsibility and handle failure, to get up again, to persevere, to question things, to discover, to solve problems and to grow...

Alichia Swanepoel
Hi, my name is Alichia, a mother of two and we were blessed with a superpower called ADHD. I started out in the corporate world where I was climbing the ladder in Banking. I obtained a National Certificate in Banking Services Advice and have vast experience from frontline Customer Service to back-office Operations, Risk and Compliance. But, as we all know, life happens, and I was entrusted to take care & shape the lives of two little humans. Life was good and I couldn't be more thankful for all the blessings coming our way. However, our world was turned upside down as I received my first complaint from school. My little girl, at the tender age of three, did not show the characteristics associated with a neurotypical child. We went from Play Therapy to Clinical Psychologist to Paediatrician specialising in Neuro - Development. We started treatment at the age of 3 years and was officially diagnosed with ADHD at six years. As we ventured into our journey with ADHD our lives became a daily struggle as we progressed through the grades. It was then when I decided to hang up my stilettos in support of my daughter and her ADHD. As I was spending time with her, I soon realised that outside of medication she does not have the skills, nor do we have the tools to effectively cope and manage ADHD. I started with intense research into alternatives to medication. I was looking for something to help us cope with and manage ADHD effectively. I was looking for ways to teach my daughter the skills to manage her ADHD without always having to turn to medication. To enable her to live each day to her full potential without being frustrated or held back due to a lack of skills. I came across Biolink Brain Training! I was especially intrigued by the non-invasive, scientific approach in pinpointing why children struggle with academic, social or even behavioural issues. I was completely taken by the fact that Biolink also develop the skills and knowledge of parents to support and guide their children with these challenges. The tools and support I was searching for! To us, Biolink Brain Training is a personal journey. One thing that I took from the corporate world is that you cannot offer a product, service or support to a customer if you are not familiar with it or using it yourself. I am therefore proud to be the owner of Biolink Brain Training Centurion. I am passionate about using this amazing platform to assist and support others sharing in our challenges. My main mission is to change the stigma linked to ADHD or Neurodivergent children. No child needs to be excluded because they struggle to cope. Every child has the right to grab all opportunities and not shy away from life, whether they fit the box or not.

Challenges are often the catalysts for growth and transformation. While they may initially seem daunting, they offer invaluable opportunities to learn, adapt, and evolve. Each obstacle presents a chance to develop resilience, sharpen problem-solving skills, and gain new perspectives. Embracing challenges with a positive mindset allows us to harness their potential to build strength and achieve personal growth. By viewing difficulties as stepping stones rather than setbacks, we unlock the potential for innovation and success, ultimately leading us to greater achievements and a deeper understanding. My name is Mashuda Peer, and above is the process which has led me to this point of joining the Biolink family. I have a vast background in psychology, education, and educational therapy. I began studying psychology which led to a career in counselling. I then developed a keen interest in play therapy and childhood development. Ten years ago when I had my first child, my focus shifted toward child stimulation and education. I have learnt a lot of meaningful and fascinating things about working with children, and this learning is ongoing as growth is continuous. I am able to implement active behaviour management processes, and possess the clinical ability to facilitate practical learning and its application with compassionate care to help you achieve clarity, balance, and peak cognitive function. Discover how cutting-edge neurofeedback can transform your mental landscape and lead you to a more vibrant, focused, and fulfilling life. I believe that each day of my career and private life, brings fresh opportunities to grow and develop professionally and personally. You cannot fail if you use your growth and development to grow and develop others. Children are here to help us birth a new world, one that is full of joy and imagination. But due to social conditioning children lose touch with that future. We, as empowered adults, have an important role to play in assisting them with all challenges big and small.

Lunell Swart
Lunell Swart's journey in education is marked by a deep passion for helping learners overcome challenges, particularly those with learning barriers. Born and raised in Durbanville, Lunell's early experiences shaped her love for learning and empathy, qualities that would define her career. Her academic path began at Stellenbosch University, where she earned her Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). It was during this time that she discovered her calling: to make a meaningful impact on learners' lives. Driven by a desire to specialize, Lunell pursued an Honours degree in Special Needs and Adult Education. This specialization equipped her with the skills and insights necessary to address the unique challenges faced by learners with special needs. Lunell’s studies deepened her understanding of the complexities involved in educating diverse groups of students, reinforcing her belief that every child deserves an opportunity to succeed. Over the course of her 20-year career, Lunell has taught across all age groups, from preschool to Grade 12, gaining a unique perspective on the developmental stages and challenges learners face. Her experience in both mainstream and specialized educational settings allowed her to develop a holistic approach to teaching. Six years ago, Lunell took a significant step by opening her own preschool, creating an environment where young learners could thrive from their earliest years. Her preschool has been a testament to her commitment to nurturing young minds, providing them with the foundation they need to succeed in their educational journey. However, it was her role as the principal of a private school catering to neurodiverse learners that truly ignited her passion. During her tenure as principal, Lunell encountered Biolink, a company known for its innovative approaches to learning challenges. This meeting marked a turning point in her career. The alignment of Biolink’s mission with her own beliefs about education and neurodiversity inspired her to dream of helping more learners beyond the confines of her school. However, she knew the timing had to be right to fully commit to this new path. As principal, Lunell led an institution that provided a nurturing environment for learners who struggled in traditional educational settings. She created an inclusive framework tailored to the specific needs of each child, ensuring they had the support necessary to thrive. Her leadership was characterized by empathy, understanding, and a deep commitment to each learner's success. Under her guidance, the school became a beacon of hope for families who felt marginalized by mainstream education. Despite the demands of her role, Lunell never lost sight of her dream to help as many learners as possible. The idea of working more closely with Biolink remained a constant goal, waiting for the right moment. When that moment arrived, Lunell knew she was ready to take the next step. With her extensive experience, specialized knowledge, and clear vision, she partnered with Biolink to realize her long-held dream. Lunell’s educational philosophy is simple yet profound: any barrier can be overcome if you understand its root cause. She believes education is not just about imparting knowledge but about addressing the underlying issues that hinder a learner’s progress. For Lunell, it’s not enough to treat symptoms; she seeks to understand and resolve the causes of learning barriers. This approach has shaped her teaching methods, leadership style, and work with neurodiverse learners. As a mother of a teenage boy with ADHD, Lunell’s professional insights are enriched by her personal experiences. She understands the challenges faced by parents and learners navigating neurodiversity, giving her unique empathy and insight. Lunell knows the importance of creating environments where learners feel supported and empowered to overcome their challenges. Today, Lunell is more determined than ever to make a difference. Her work with Biolink and continued involvement in education are driven by her unwavering belief that every child can succeed with the right support. She is passionate about breaking down barriers that prevent learners from reaching their full potential, continually seeking innovative solutions. Lunell’s story is one of perseverance and an unyielding commitment to making the world a better place for neurodiverse learners. She is not just an educator; she is an advocate, leader, and beacon of hope for countless families. Her legacy will be the profound impact she has made in redefining what it means to educate with empathy, understanding, and a commitment to addressing the root causes of learning barriers. Through her work, Lunell Swart is changing lives—one learner at a time. Her story is a testament to the power of education and the difference one person can make when they dedicate themselves to a cause greater than themselves.

Naima Moosajee
My name is Naima. I am the proud owner of Biolink Brain Training Emmarentia/Linden. I am a Psychology Honours graduate, student counselor and Lego based therapy facilitator and trust me, this is only the beginning. I work in the field of Educational Therapy, thereby helping children struggling with learning barriers. Having found my niche in working with children, I still felt as if I had this insatiable thirst that wasn't being quenched. My passion for children goes way beyond the confines of neurodiversity. Having a child, myself, who is neurodivergent, I began to conduct extensive research, in trying to find suitable interventions for my son and that's how I came across Biolink Brain Training. It was a revelation sent to me at the perfect time and after my first meeting with Karin and Marlize, I was simply blown away. The concept of neurofeedback and how it can help to tackle so many prevalent issues in neurodivergent kids is exceptional. What drew me towards Biolink Brain Training was the fact that, not only is the program and training available to kids but to adults (laymen, professionals and athletes) as well. Basically, everyone could be a candidate for brain training (considering the demands of our lifestyles), which is amazing. Unfortunately, in the fast-paced world that we live today, children are only beginning to struggle more. The need for cognitive skills intervention has become more evident than ever before. What sets us apart, is not only the cognitive skills training but also additional programs that are being added every few months. We have the I-Listen program (focusing on early childhood intervention) ,audiolab, study method hub (which focuses on executive functioning skills), focus assessment (dealing with attention and helps parents and teachers understand why a child behaves and thinks the way they do) and many more coming new ventures. We believe that every child and adult have significant potential to develop academically and behaviorally and that they are capable of reaching further than the stars when given the appropriate tools and support. We support children in becoming independent and successful individuals who are ready to conquer the world.

Having a hearing impaired daughter taught me that all things are possible. She was diagnosed as deaf and dumb at the age of 3. In other word, she could not hear or speak. We could not just accept it and I stopped my studies and taught her to speak and with the aid of hearing aids she has limited hearing as well. I starting doing a lot of courses in different field on how to help my own daughter and later applied the same methods to my son. They went to the same primary school and my methods were used at their school. I loved working with the kids and did some courses on remedial reading and teaching. My husband was transferred to Ermelo and I started working as a relief lecturer at the local college. Both my children finished their schooling careers. I met Dr Brenda Steyn and our passion for children got us involved with Biolink Brain Training.. So after 6 years at the college I started working at Biolink Brain Training centre. This was the most amazing part of my journey, as I saw how education and a side of the medical world come together and assist children and adults. Dr Brenda Steyn and I later became partners and together we work with a vast variety of adults and children. It is said that: "If you love your work, you'll never work a day in your life." So I have not worked a day in the last few years! Here at Biolink Brain Training Ermelo we strive to make children become independent, happier, healthier and just themselves. We assist adults in helping and giving what their children need and become the best that they can be and or become.

I’m Nadirah, and my life has been driven by a deep passion for children and their development. My journey began with a fascination for psychology, where I delved into the intricacies of the human mind, especially in children. Eager to make a difference in their lives, I pursued further studies and became an NILD educational therapist, specialising in providing the support and guidance young minds need to thrive. My approach to helping children extended beyond the conventional methods. I explored innovative techniques like Lego therapy with progressive play to foster creativity and problem-solving skills, ensuring a holistic approach to their education. This opportunity allowed me to extend my reach and have a broader impact, making a positive difference in the lives of even more children. My story is a testament to the unwavering commitment to children’s well-being and development, illustrating how a single person’s passion and dedication can create a lasting impact that resonates far and wide.

Biolink is not my business, it is my story. This is my “passing it forward” to every parent that is desperate to see their child flourish and attain the level of success that they know that they are capable of. I’m an advocate for all the kids “bouncing off the walls” or “lacking focus and attention” and a solution for the parents looking for alternatives. My service will meet your faith in your child. How do I know? I was once that helpless mom, and BIOLINK met me at my most desperate moment when my child was labeled and prescribed. Refusing to become a statistic, through much research, more prayer, and many frustrating conversations, I arrived at a BIOLINK Brain Training centrum and found a sympathetic ear and a workable strategy for my boy. Having tried many options, I was very skeptical at first and out to disprove the system, but the support and understanding I found in the facilitators encouraged me to persist. My young boy, who I believe is a creative visionary and story-teller, also enjoyed the classes (much to my surprise). Now my son is thriving. Not only was he able to focus and complete tasks without interruptions, but he is also far more confident, and now when his head is in the clouds, it is to develop a new lego construction. The point is he is himself, just more refined and structured, all thanks to the Biolink Brain Training natural system of strengthening neuro pathways. Biolink Brain Training offers your child confidence and being orientated to excel with their own giftings.

I was born in Zambia and moved to South Africa as a baby. Growing up in Margate on the Natal South Coast, I attended Port Shepstone High School. Although I initially pursued a Legal Secretarial Diploma, I soon realised it wasn't my true calling. After settling in Johannesburg, I had the joy of meeting my husband, and together we have three children—two sons and a daughter, with two of them choosing careers in teaching. In 1993, we made another move, this time to Botswana, when my husband received a job offer in the diamond mines. It was during our time there that my passion for teaching flourished, leading me to work at a Creche. Seeking further knowledge, I studied through Unisa and obtained a certificate in Early Childhood Development. Subsequently, I was offered a position at a mining school where I dedicated a decade to being a pre-school teacher. Additionally, I provided homeschooling and tutoring for children, including those facing learning difficulties. Six years ago, I took a significant leap by becoming the proud owner of a stationery/gift shop with a strong focus on educational aids, books, toys, and stationery. My husband and I strongly believe in supporting and assisting children in Botswana, which is why we were immediately captivated when we discovered Biolink Brain Training and its role in meeting this need. Today, we are the enthusiastic owners of Biolink Brain Training, a business devoted to nurturing cognitive and executive function skills in children. We recognise that these skills are vital for academic success and future achievements. Through specialised programs and exercises, we strive to enhance crucial cognitive abilities such as memory, attention, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making. In addition, we are excited to introduce The Study Method Hub as part of our business. At The Study Method Hub, we provide comprehensive study skills training to students aged 9–14. Our programs cover various essential topics including time management, organisation, note-taking, active reading, critical thinking, exam preparation, and goal setting. We empower students to manage their time effectively, create efficient study plans, take meaningful and well-structured notes, engage in active learning techniques, and employ strategies to improve information retention and recall. Now, as we embark on this new chapter in our lives, we are filled with tremendous enthusiasm and anticipation. The opportunity to positively impact children's lives through Biolink Brain Training and The Study Method Hub is a source of great joy and fulfilment for us.

Louisa Beyer is the owner of Biolink Brain Training Hermanus, Western Cape, South Africa since March 2014. It includes Gansbaai, Caledon as well as Kleinmond. As a former lecturer, I recognised the difficulty students experience to focus on the task at hand. In addition, their inability to exert essential information from their learning material led to poor results. I am sure that my ability to be patient but firm and my ability to encourage others adds to the success of my clients. There is nothing more rewarding for me personally to see a child becoming successful in different areas of his/her life and the positive impact it has on a family as such. My careers taught me the importance of helping others to reach their full potential. At Biolink Brain Training, we offer support, hope, answers, and solutions for children and adults with ADHD and other learning disorders or academic challenges. I've start working with children when I opened an after-care school center in 2001. In 2013 I opened an Impaq help center "Kempton Park Learning Center". In the Center we help many ADHD as well as borderline autistic children. With my psychology background and now Biolink we can make a greater impact in the lives of our leaners. Central to every leaner's success, the tutors and I work together with the learners, to achieve the best educational outcome for our learners. At our Learning and Biolink Centers, our ethos revolves around a commitment to excellence. I firmly believe that the path to progress begins with collaborative effort towards a shared objective. While an individual may engage in a pursuit, it's the collective strength of a team that leads to championship victories. Success favors those who embrace the courage to take bold steps forward. Together with our learners, we will make a difference in their lives.

Estelle's got a degree in Psychology from UNISA and has always had a soft spot for helping and understanding kids. She believes each child is a one-of-a-kind creation, and it's our job as grown-ups to tap into their unique potential. What really drew Estelle to Biolink Brain Training was the FOCUS test, which helps parents and teachers understand why a child behaves and thinks the way they do. It's not that they're a "problem child," it's that the adults in their life might not have all the information they need. That's where Biolink Brain Training comes in! At Biolink, we're all about providing comprehensive answers, solutions, and support for kids and grown-ups with ADHD or Executive Function Challenges. We believe in working together with parents, teachers, and the child to make sure every kiddo can reach their full potential. We think that parents should have a clear role in the school system, and teachers should be inspiring leaders. That's why we're all about empowering parents and teachers with workshops, webinars, and the tools to understand each child's unique gifts.

Lydia was one of four students who went to the Netherlands, with NWU Vaal, in 2015 to help with educational research and she obtained her Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree from the North-West University in 2016. As a grade 1 teacher herself, it become clear to Lydia that learners find it challenging to concentrate, have poor listening skills, have difficulty with perception, and demonstrate low memory recall and logical reasoning. In addition, learners struggle immensely with social and emotional situations which often cause behavioral challenges. These cause barriers towards learning which in turn prevent learners from achieving their full potential in their learning environment. Being a passionate foundation phase teacher that strives towards reaching and assisting every learner- right from the beginning where a root cause can be found in their academic challenges and aid them to overcome them has began being a tricky obstacle for Lydia to overcome. Therefore, it became clear that there is only so much she can do as their teacher. The search began in order to ”something” that could equip her in order to assist her learners overcome their barriers to learning. After extensive research, she discovered Biolink Attention Training. A patented algorithm, cognitive skills training, and behaviour shaping computer exercise. The Patented technology integrates feedback technology with cognitive skills training and behaviour shaping. It is designed to strengthen weak underlying cognitive skills (attention, memory, perception, processing speed, logic, reasoning) and improve executive function skills (impulse control, emotional control, flexible thinking, working memory, self-monitoring, planning, prioritizing, task initiation, organization). By improving these skills, she will be able to help learners focus their attention, process information faster, remember instructions and multitask. It will also reduce academic challenges and anxiety. At Biolink Attention Training, we offer support, hope, answers, and solutions for children and adults with ADHD and other learning disorders or academic challenges. We also provide resources and training toward the continuous professional development of teachers, as required by the South African Council of Educators.

Elsie Jacobs
I was working in the insurance industry for 27 years but always felt like there was something more waiting for me. One morning in 2012 I saw Biolink Brain Training on Kyknet’s Ontbytsake and I immediately knew that’s what I want to do – working with children. As I’ve always loved children and had been a Sunday school teacher for a couple of years, I knew I had a special connection with them. Now I experience that same love from my students that will make me do this for many years to come. “Do what you love – love what you do” has become true for me. At Biolink Brain Training, you don’t only see how their self-image improves, but also how they become happy children with happy parents. Here they are important, listened to, respected, and loved. They are winners and will be successful. My biggest reward is every end of the year with the leader elections to see how many ex-Biolink children become Head boys and girls, prefects and leaders and how many matriculants succeed with distinctions and that’s not where it stops, Biolink Middelburg already boasts with a pilot. Our winning team, equipped for life.

Ons span saam met ouers en onderwysers om kinders te help om hul volle potensiaal te bereik. Alisha Potgieter
Alisha Potgieter is a BEd Hons qualified teacher and was in a Grade 7 classroom for five years. She has seen the effects of concentration difficulties in the classroom situation first-hand. During her teaching career, she has spoken to many parents whose children were on medication and were desperate to find an alternative that didn’t have such an adverse effect on their children. She believes that it is important for the parents to have options. Studies show that people are struggling more than ever before to cope with the academic-, social- and behavioural challenges of the 21st century. This impacts their ability to reach their full potential in the school and work environments. At Biolink Brain Training, we offer answers, solutions, support, and hope for children and adults that struggle with concentration difficulties, learning disorders, and other academic challenges. Our goal is to take hands with the community by offering knowledge and support through educational resources, research materials, and a wide variety of workshops that can be used in the classroom and at work or home. We also provide resources and training towards the continuous professional development of teachers as part of the requirements set by the South African Council of Educators. We want to empower teachers to use classroom strategies that support learners with neurodiverse needs and help parents take on an active role in their children’s education. As Jonathan Martensson rightly said, “Success will never be a big step in the future; success is a small step taken right now.”

Biolink Brain Training Vanderbijlpark opened our doors in 2015. As a qualified Kinderkineticist with a passion for working with children with perceptual motor skills, concentration, reading, and learning difficulties, I started incorporating Biolink within my practice and immediately saw the extra value that Biolink can offer to these individuals and children in my practice. Our dynamic team consists of five therapists whose main objective is to build the confidence and skills of the children and parents we work with. We understand that these parents have had a difficult and lonely journey, but luckily, we are able to also support and encourage them through our workshops. Biolink Brain Training Vanderbijlpark won the 2017 “Agency of the Year” award at the annual Biolink Head Office conference. At Biolink Brain Training, we offer support, hope, answers, and solutions for children and adults with ADHD and other learning disorders or academic challenges.
